ABOUT ME

Chelsea Blankenship

I am a trained doula that offers birth services and postpartum services to expectant mothers and families in Topeka and Lawrence. The role of a doula is to offer non-medical emotional, informational, and physical support before, during, and after childbirth. I provide care throughout your pregnancy and continuous care during labor. If you choose, I will even come to your home after your birth to help you feel comfortable and cared for in your own space. The possibilities and options of support are up to you!
I am trained through DONA International and completed my course in February of 2019. As I work towards becoming a Certified Doula, I have been able to attend a Spinning Babies workshop and Breastfeeding Basics workshop, all while volunteering with Topeka Doula Project.
Supporting a family during one of the most exciting and stressful times in their life is what drew me to this path. I am passionate about helping families navigate breastfeeding and all the challenges that come with it. As well as planning out their births and helping them have the best possible outcome. I can be contacted via email at SweetestBirth@gmail.com by phone call or text at 785.640.0867. I look forward to working with you and your family.

REVIEWS

Chelsea was AMAZING. She had answers to any questions I had, and was very helpful all through labor/delivery/recovery. She helped with our first feeding and some follow up questions I’ve had since delivering.

Chelsea is awesome. She was so helpful in giving me options I didn’t even know were out there. I felt so blessed to have her educating me and supporting me in my breastfeeding experience because that was such a scary and overwhelming day for me! She made the pregnancy and delivery something I felt prepared for and supported in and I love her for that.

As a L&D nurse I can speak for Chelsea’s dedication to her patients and her commitment to advocate for them. Chelsea is continually seeking education opportunities for herself and never hesitates to reach out for support.

Labor is like a pineapple, on the surface it's really tough, but once you get to what's inside, the reward is so sweet.
